Rudranil Ghosh, who acted in Bengali flicks like Chaplin, Proloy, Hawa Bodol and Kathmundu, is all set to play a pivotal role in Arindam Bhattacharya's Flat No. 609.

The film is a mystery drama with horror, detective and thriller elements.

The talented actor who has played, negative, serious and also comedy roles is happy with the way the director has sketched his character.

Rudranil said, “I am playing the role of a broker in this film. The elements that Arindam has added in the character are interesting. I was amazed to read the script. It made me think that a character can have such layers too.”  

He feels that it’s because of audience that the actors are getting to play interesting roles now.

He said, “In terms of content of the films, now audience wants variety. Their demands have escalated and owing to this we (actors) are getting offers of playing variety of interesting roles.”

Flat No. 609 also stars actors Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Soumitra Chatterjee, Mamata Shankar, and Kharaj Mukherjee.

The shooting of the film will kick-start from mid of August.

Apart from films, Rudranil is currently busy with his TV show Chaka Chak Comedy Chowk.
