MUMBAI: COVID in its third strike continues unabated. One shudders to think what lies in store.

Balika Vadhu 2 actress Payal Shukla was infected with COVID. Confirming this, Payal, when contacted, told ETimes TV, "Yes, I had tested positive for COVID. I developed a sore throat and then the next day, I got fever."

Payal quickly quarantined herself well. "I was fine in a few days. Of course, I didn't shoot until I tested negative," she added.

'Balika Vadhu' returned with a second installment by public demand and while the first season focused on a Rajasthani backdrop of child marriage, the ongoing one season is set amidst a Gujarati background on the same subject.
