MUMBAI: Color’s Choti Sarrdaarni is one of the shows that, very frequently, remain on top of the ranking charts. The Hindi-Punjabi romantic drama stars Nimrat Kaur Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi as the female and male lead characters, respectively.

The show revolves around the life of a strong-willed woman, who is the Sarpanch of her village and likes to control her family members. On the other hand, her daughter, Meher, is a very simple and happy girl. She has a boyfriend named Manav. She loves him beyond limits.

Not even a month ago, Vineet Raina was replaced by Hitanshu Jinsi on Choti Sarrdaarni to play Param Singh Gill. But, even Hitanshu has decided to quit the show. One of the main reasons for him to quit is that he has signed a new project, and he will soon be seen in a web series. But, this wasn’t the only reason for him to quit.

He said, “According to the brief given to me when I joined the show, Param Singh Gill was an important character. The track started on a good note. However, in no time, it was sidelined and wasn’t contributing much to the show. I don’t work for the sake of money but want to do good work. So, I discussed my concern with the makers who asked me to wait, as they were in the process of introducing a new lead couple and changes in the storyline. Around that time, I was also in talks for a web series and it materialised. Besides, there was no clarity on the future of my track in Choti Sarrdaarni. That’s why I decided to go ahead with the web series. I will commence shooting for it as soon as I wrap up my work in the daily soap.”

Earlier, two actors who were playing the role of Param Singh, have already left the show. Now, Jinsi is the third one to leave the show.
