MUMBAI: Shark Tank India is a business reality television series. The show is the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank and features entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of investors or sharks.
The show Shark Tank India has a huge fan following. However, the show was also trolled for varied reasons. Take a look at times when the Sharks and the host got trolled.
The host-actor, who was seen hosting Shark Tank India, recently garnered a lot of attention on social media when a video of him offering an MBA course to an entrepreneur contestant went viral. The video clip sparked a meme fest on the internet. In the video, Rannvijay can be seen offering an MBA course to the entrepreneur, who arrived as a participant in the show. Reacting to the viral video, Rannvijay told ETimes TV, “I’ve done Splitsvilla and Roadies and by now I am used to memes, spoofs. The amount and the level spoofs were done on us, people can’t even imagine. As per the concept of the show it is the Sharks who decide that you should be given this. Another point is that there are many engineers, who also do an MBA, it is not connected but it’s because they want to cover all their bases. You can do an MBA or engineering from the biggest institutes but you might not know a lot about digital marketing. There’s a possibility.”
The number of memes on Ashneer Grover’s ‘doglapan’ dialogue is uncountable. BharatPe co-founder’s comments like 'yeh sab doglapan hai', 'aap yeh bandh kar do', 'bhai, kya kar raha hai tu', and many other one-liners that went viral on the internet. He was also known for being the harshest to the pitchers.
Another major discussion on social media would be pharmaceutical giant Namita Thapar’s trademark dialogue ‘Isme meri expertise nahi hai, I am out.’ Netizens would discuss that if she doesn’t have the expertise, why is she taking up space at the table.
