Our show will reveal that cooking together can only increase the love between couples - Shweta Gulati

Shweta Gulati

Shweta Gulati, who is making her return to the small screen after two years with SAB TV’s fictional cookery show Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar (Deepti Bhatnagar Productions), calls herself a very desi Indian woman at heart.

Say the actress, “I believe in the old maxim that the best way to win a man’s heart is through his stomach. I am quite a decent cook and will keep my man happy with all goodies.” Here she adds a caveat that since she is a working woman she will not be able to cook every day.

This Deepti Bhatnagar presentation shows her co-star Arjun Bijlani as a husband who cannot cook for nuts, yet learns culinary skills in order to spend quality time with his on screen wife.

So will she want her guy in real life to cook for her? Here the self-confessed single Shweta says, “I would like my guy to enter the kitchen for me, but it is not needed if he cannot cook to save his life. Having said this, in today’s age, with both husband and wife working we do need to change the ground rule where only the wife makes food. Also our show will reveal that cooking together can only increase the love between couples.”

Shweta, who first came into prominence as Tia Ahuja in Remix and Dr. Nikita Malhotra in Dill Mill Gayye, further states, “I am not like other modern liberated women who would want their man to open the door for them. I would be happy if he did the same for me once but I would be happier waiting for him every night after a hard day’s work and greeting him with a smile. I am too traditional in my thought process and upbringing for all this.”

We wish you luck for your new show, Shweta!!!
