Zee TV, which has recently launched the untold saga of one of the greatest personalities in Buddha with their show jointly produced by Esselvision and B K Modi’s Spice Studio, is looking at launching yet another big-budget mythological saga which will depict the life of the mighty warrior cum sage Parashuram.

Titled as ‘Bhrigu’, this mythological is expected to hit the screens sometime in the coming year (2014). The show will be produced by Zee TV’s in-house production house, Esselvision Productions.

As per a reliable source, the show will kick-start from the 14th year of the young Parashuram and traverse through his journey and life that spanned for more than 300 years. Since Parashuram played important roles in the Mahabharat and Ramayan, these two epics will also gain prominence as part of the story-telling.

We sent a text message to Ajay Bhalwankar, Programming Head, Zee TV but did not get any revert till the time we filed the story.

Esselvision presently has the thriller-horror show Fear Files and Gautami Kapoor starrer Khelti Hai Zindagi – Aankh Micholi on air.
