MUMBAI: Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij are one of the most popular couples in television world. It seems the two’s sly war with Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma won't end anytime soon. It all started after Jay's indirect jibe at the Bigg Boss 13 contestants for showing off their donations everywhere on social media. Calling it a publicity gimmick, Jay wrote how it's sad to see people taking pictures and recording videos while doing a noble cause. What came thereafter was a bashing from Paras Chhabra. Now, Jay's wife and actress Mahhi Vij, in an interview with Hindustan Times, has spoken on the same and passed a streak of slys on Chhabra and Mahira. 

She said, "A lot of people said in articles ‘aap khud toh kuchh karte nahi ho, AC mein baithe rehte ho’. We sit in the AC because we have worked hard for it. When I was doing Laagi Tujhse Lagan, I had to paint my face for 22 hours; the AC didn’t come just like that. I come from a middle-class family, I never had one at my home, which is why I can sit and even then donate. I don’t have to show people ‘I am doing this’. You want to contribute to society? Do it, but you don’t have to take a camera and show ‘main itne de raha/rahi hoon'."

She added how they don't post their donations on social media, as they want to stay in God's good books and not anyone else's. “A lot of people have written that we aren’t doing anything in this crisis. But what we are doing, we are not posting about it. It’s only to be in God’s good books, not yours,” continued the actress. 

Mahhi concluded that if she's doing anything kind, the good karma from it should get to her parents and children, including two foster ones. “Bhooke ko khaana khila rahe ho, uska video toh mat banao yaar! Talk to them instead, ask them where the rations for the next month will come from,” she added.
