Praneeta Sahu, who just wrapped up Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, is entering Star Plus' newly launched show Kaali this weekend. Karuna Pandey who has done a few movies and shows in the past will play her mother. A source says, "Praneeta plays the character of Jhanvi. She is completely a today's girl, she plays Thakral’s daughter and Karuna Pandey plays his wife. Thakral is a very different person when it comes to his family. His behaviour with his daughter and wife is contradictory to that of his behaviour with others, especially Rachna. We were looking for a fresh face to play Jhanvi but Praneeta fit the bill perfectly. There were no date issues either. She has already started shooting with us and Thakral's family is likely to enter the show around this weekend." Praneeta remained unavailable for comment. Kaali which started this Monday has received positive responses from the audience especially for its realistic presentation. It is the story of a badminton player Rachna and her fight against Thakral, who harasses her sexually.
