The beautiful and gorgeous Prinal Oberoi, who charmed her way into viewers’ heart with her performances in shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, Pyaar Ka Dard and Shapath among many others, will be seen donning a very different avatar for Colors’ upcoming venture Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (Contiloe Entertainment).

The pretty actress will be seen playing Charumitra, the step mother of Ashoka (Siddharth Nigam) who will have negative shades and would be against Ashoka being crowned as the next king.

Shared Prinal, “Since Charumitra would be the first wife of King Bindusara (Sameer Dharmadhikari) she would want her son to take over the throne. Being a loving mother she would want her son to be given his rights and will fight for him. The character will have various shades and is quite a mysterious one which viewers will get to see post the show launches.”

The look of the character is quite sexy and Prinal has to take all efforts to be in shape. “When I got the costume I was shocked as it would show off my midriff and now I have to take all efforts to stay and especially look fit. I have actually started working out more and eating less so that I look good on screen.”

Talking more about it the actress shared, “The character has a very sensuous aura around her and it will constantly remain so. I have never portrayed anything like this before and am pretty kicked about it. Though the character will be married with a 14 year old son, she will be young and sexy throughout, thankfully (laughs).”

This also being her first historical show, Prinal is happy but shooting far away from home makes her sad.  “The show is being shot in Karjat and it will be a hard task to staying away from home and family. Although I have shot far from the city for my previous shows, this would really be difficult. Also it’s not even a year since my marriage (to actor Pankaj B Singh) and staying far from my husband is quite painful.”
