Disney Bindass’ popular love series Yeh Hai Aashiqui has provided a perfect platform for popular faces of television to showcase their talent via various challenging roles. Now, the maker BBC Worldwide Productions, will provide opportunities to many fresh faces, and will train them to face the camera and get into the skin of the given character and speak their lines with great prowess. In this week’s episode, the show will provide an opportunity to a complete fresher named Subir Rana. Subir, hailing from Jammu, has high aspirations of shining as an actor. And BBC has provided him with the very first chance of facing the camera. Giving him company as the female lead will be noted actress Priya Chauhan. The tall and elegant actress has earlier featured in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani and Kya Hua Tera Vaada. She has also done an episodic for MTV Webbed. Talking about the plot of the story, it will be the tale of a young writer who would write a story about his own odd love story, seated in a coffee shop. The story he would pen down will be the love story between him and a waitress who would keep watching him and his girlfriend at the coffee shop daily. Subir Rana will play the role of the writer, while Priya Chauhan will play the vivacious, full-of-life waitress. The story will be unique as it will have a catchy storyline; it will be relatable too as all the happenings will take place at the coffee shop. Talking about the particular story line, Palki Malhotra, Creative Producer, BBC said, “I feel proud to say that BBC has taken the task of grooming such youngsters by making them face the camera for the first time. Yes, it was a tough task to make Subir act in this particular role, as it is a complex one, make him face his lines and make him give the best of expressions on camera. Having said this, the outcome has been very sweet. We will be introducing lot of fresh talent in the episodes to come. All credit goes to the entire team of BBC for working on the actors before shooting with them.” Priya Chauhan told us, “I have always been a die-hard fan of love stories. And I happen to be the very few lucky ones to have been repeated in Yeh Hai Aashiqui. I had earlier shot for an episodic along with Manish Tulsiyani. Above all, I simply love the way in which the stories of Yeh Hai Aashiqui get filmed. All I can say is that I will be seen in an episodic of Yeh Hai Aashiqui. It was great working with the team. I am not allowed to speak anything on the story line, so please excuse me.” Subir Rana spoke about his memorable first experience as an actor, “It was great working with BBC and Palki M’am. Yes, this is my first experience as an actor. However, I feel I have miles to go and want to be known as a good actor. Now that I have appeared before the camera once, I am waiting for some new opportunities to come my way.” This particular story will air on 27 July.
