MUMBAI: Renowned television producer Mitu, celebrated for her contribution to some of Indian TV’s most iconic shows, is now channeling her creative energy into her own production house, Positive Thinkerz. Known for its bold and thought-provoking content, the banner's official YouTube channel is fast becoming a destination for hard-hitting storytelling with a purpose.
Before launching Positive Thinkerz, Mitu was a formidable force behind legendary shows such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Pavitra Rishta, and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Among her standout successes, the cult thriller Kaahin Kissii Roz remains etched in the memories of Indian TV audiences as a game-changing daily soap that broke genre boundaries.
Recently, Mitu attended the Waves Summit, where she found herself both inspired and reflective. “It was a wonderful experience,” she said. “Meeting people we haven’t seen in years, reconnecting face-to-face, and seeing innovative stalls — it opened my eyes to how many companies, big and small, are not just growing themselves but helping others grow too.”
She advocates for Waves to become an annual initiative, citing its impact on professional reinvention and expansion. “When you see growth in front of you, your mind opens up to how you can reinvent yourself — and that is the key to all things big,” Mitu noted.
Calling the summit a rich learning experience, she highlighted the value of networking and knowledge sharing. “The masterclasses and sessions allow you to question your own path. That kind of introspection is rare but essential.”
One of the summit’s highlights for Mitu was the Bharat Pavilion, which celebrated the evolution of comics, sound, print, and cinema in a single space. “It wasn’t just engaging for professionals — it was educative for children. That’s why I curated the entire visit as an infotainment experience for my daughter as well. It was a true family event.”
As Mitu continues to evolve as a creator, she remains committed to content that entertains, educates, and inspires — both for this generation and the next.
