Not everyone gets an opportunity to work along with Amitabh Bachchan but the ones who do, never walk back empty-handed. Choreographer Puneet Pathak recently experienced something similar on the sets of Colors’ Comedy Nights With Kapil (K9/SOL Productions) where the star came down to promote his upcoming flick Bhootnath Returns. Wondering what was Puneet doing there on the sets? Well, he was summoned to choreograph a few dance moves of Bachchan from a song of his upcoming film. When we contacted Puneet, he confirmed the same and said, “Since Big B had come to promote his film on the sets, I kept the moves pretty simple. Having memorized the steps easily, he rehearsed for the same a couple of times before giving the final take. All I can say is that I was overwhelmed seeing his energy level.” Incidentally this was the second time that Puneet worked with the Sr. Bachchan. “Earlier I worked with him when I was assisting Remo (D’souza). Amitabhji is a book of knowledge and every time you turn the page, a new chapter opens up. It is from him that I’ve learnt how to be professional and respect everyone.” Since the media has been flooded with the list of the expected contestants of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7, we asked the choreographer if he’d be returning this season too to which he answered, “Yes, they have approached me and I am in talks; but nothing has been confirmed yet.” Apart from this, Puneet is currently choreographing his first film all by himself. “Satra Ko Shadi Hai will be my debut film as a solo choreographer; it’s a new experience,” he quipped.
