Rahuol Lohani better known as Bhola (Jabb Love Hua) is quite kicked about playing the lead role in SAB TV’s Gutur Gu’s second avatar. “I had been offered the previous season as well when Sunil Grower first played Balu (he was subsequently replaced by Kunal Kapoor) but then I could not do it as the lead girl Sheetal Maulik looked older to me.” Talking about Gutur Gu season 2 he says, “Silent comedy is the toughest thing as your body needs to make the public laugh in absence of one liners and punches. We are happy that our show is a weekly for the amount for the tiredness which sets in after doing just one scene is equal to what we experience after a day’s shoot of a normal daily soap.” He also accepts that it would be tough to enter into Kunal’s shoes for he has done a great job. “I told Anooj Kapoor (Business Head, SAB TV) when he asked me to do this show, that they already have the best. But I guess they wanted freshness hence Sheetal was replaced by Anita Hassanandani as well.” This Fireworks Productions project goes on floors from 6 November (2012). “The channel was unhappy with the promos and has asked the production house to reshoot them. This might happen once the first schedule gets under way,” informs Rahuol, who was last seen in Gulaal (Star Plus). He goes on to add, “We were originally scheduled to go on air from 17 November but the channel has pushed its telecast date by a week. It might now air either on the following Saturday or Sunday. This push might have been done as they wanted to get closer to the all important date of 19 December, when TRP data will start flowing in once again. Also may be they wanted more time to promote the show given the fact that being sequel you need to raise the bar all over.” All the best, Rahuol!!!
