The talented actor Rajesh Kumar who is even today popularly known as ‘Rosesh of Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai fame’ is excited about his plunge into Bollywood. The actor has just finished the shoot for his debut movie titled ‘Super Nani’ which has yesteryear actors Rekha and Randhir Kapoor. Sharman Joshi and Shweta Kumar play the leads, while Anupam Kher, Shreya Narayan and Aanchal Dwivedi will also be part of Super Nani. Talking about the entire experience, Rajesh Kumar told Tellychakkar.com, “It is a dream for every actor to enter Bollywood and it was great to debut with a movie like Super Nani. The entire cast was buoys and we had a jolly good time at shoot. It was amazing to shoot along with Rekhaji and Randhir Kapoorji. The best part was that we had a family atmosphere on sets, and there was no such hierarchy created even with actors like Rekhaji and Randhirji being around.” Rajesh Kumar was simply touched by the compliments he got from Randhir Kapoor. “Randhirji immediately recognized me, as he had been an ardent watcher of SaraBhai V/s SaraBhai. He appreciated my work in television and I was so elated to know that he knew me. In fact, he went ahead and introduced me to Rekhaji and even talked at length about my work on TV. The support I got from Randhirji helped me erase the nervous energy that was within me owing to the pressure of shooting for my debut film.” About his character in the movie, Rajesh went on to say, “I play a hen-pecked husband who does not have a spine. I essay the son of Rekhaji and Randhirji. Shweta Narayan plays my wife, and the lead of the movie Sharman Joshi is my nephew. My character in the film has gone through many failures and whatever he attempts to do, goes wrong. He gets the support of his mother as the story goes on. On the whole, I am glad that I am debuting on the big screen with this film since I have a meaty role to play. And whenever the movie gets released, I am sure to have a substantial role in it.” Also, Rajesh Kumar who was quite apprehensive of being ragged in his debut outing is happy that he did not undergo such a thing. “I have heard quite a lot of stories where new actors get ragged on the sets of their first movie. However, I got so much of respect from the entire crew, and this made me very happy. At the end of it, I realized that whatever the medium of work may be, people notice you for what you do. It has been nearly 8-9 years since Sarabhai came, and if people remember me even today, then I am blessed,” averred the actor. We wish you all the very best, Rajesh for your debut vehicle on the big screen.
