Rajesh Kumar who enacted the character of simpleton Rosesh in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is not so na?ve after all! When a little birdie told us about his outburst at an upscale store in a reputed mall, we made it a point to check it out with the actor himself.
Recently as the workout bug bit the Momma's boy, he decided to have a new pair of sports shoes for gymming. He happened to visit Inorbit Mall in Malad and that's when the upmarket store Planet Sports caught his attention. After browsing through all the international brands, he settled for a pair of Nike shoes and went home happy at his selection. But his elation was short-lived and he found to his astonishment, the sole of the footwear came off on the first day itself and he took it to the store where they promised to repair it.
A couple of days were lost in this way but a day after the repair, the soles came off again. This time around when Rajesh asked them to replace it or refund the amount, he recounts, "They agreed to replace the shoes but not refund the money. According to their rules, I had to fill up a form and it would take twenty five days before I could select another pair." After having waited patiently when Rajesh went back on the twenty sixth day he fumes, "I found to my bewilderment, none of the shoes they put forth were of my size. This is when I lost my cool and had an argument with the Manager."
Finally the actor ensured that he was refunded but not before giving the authorities a piece of his mind and vows to inform all his friends and colleagues "not to ever purchase anything from that shop."
