MUMBAI: Rakhi Sawant surprised one and all when she declared that she got married to an NRI businessman on July 28 at a suburban five star hotel in Mumbai.

Rakhi initially posted bridal pictures of herself on social media and though she initially claimed that they were pictures of her photoshoot from the hotel, she later confirmed that she is indeed married. Rakhi claims that her husband’s name is Ritesh and he works in US President Donald Trumps company and hence she cannot divulge too many details about him.

 The actress has been a controversial figure and while some are happy that she has finally found the love of her life, there are many who are caught off guard and are rather perplexed about her claims of being married. Here are some of the public gossips and murmurs doing the rounds...

“Rakhi has always been outspoken. Then why is she shrouding her husband from public if she is really married.” – Parul Gala, 40, Housewife.

It was in 2018 that Rakhi announced her marriage to internet celebrity Deepak Kalal. She later claimed that she cancelled the marriage and he is engaged to someone else. Prior to that too, Rakhi claimed that she will tie the knot with Elesh Parujanwala, in a contest based show which host her Swayamwar titled Rakhi Ka Swayamwar. 

Rahul L, a Financial Analyst quipped, "Rakhi, I hope this news is true! I am tired of your weddings.”

While her past relationships have not worked out to well for her, we only hope that she moves to a better future with Ritesh. Dhara Sharma, who is an HR at Dreams Images also had a word to say to Rakhi. 

“Oh! Come on Rakhi, I hope this isn’t another gimmick to seek attention. Anyway I hope you stay happily married ever after,” Dhara said.
