MUMBAI: On August 3, 2020, Indians will be celebrating Rakshabandhan, a festival celebrating the bond of siblings. But due to the ongoing lockdown, if one finds it difficult to find Rakhi for their brothers, TV actress and BB12 winner Dipika Kakar is here for your rescue. The Sasural Simar Ka actress posted a video on her YouTube channel, how to make Rakhi at home with some basic materials available in everyone’s home. She dropped a picture of it and spoke about it in her Instagram post as well, directing us to her YouTube channel.

She wrote in her Instagram caption, “Going back to teenage!! making these cute rakhis and enjoying my craft! Wanna see?!?! Go now to my channel and watch!!” This video will make you nostalgic as it will remind you of your school days, when we were asked to make Rakhis just before the festivities begin at our homes. The actress has shown us how to use very basic things such as thread used for sewing clothes to make the rakhi and some ingredients from the kitchen to decorate it.
In the video, we can see Dipika using split chickpeas, some mustard seeds and some satin ribbons. Also, the actress made a little cutout of a character from the popular cartoon series, Pokemon, named Pikachu, suggesting this cute one for the little ones in your family.
