Producer Siddharth Malhotra's upcoming show inspired from the flick 'We Are Family' for Zee TV will see a new development.
Malhotra's Alchemy Films had roped in Ssudeep Sahir, Vindhya Tiwari and Disha Parmar as leads.
However, the new development is that Vindhya has been replaced.
And in will come the equally talented performer Ridhi Dogra Vashisth.
Yes, the versatile actress Ridhi will return to daily soaps with this show.
As per sources, "Vindhya had prior commitments of travelling outside India. Also the channel apparently did not see her fitting well into the character."
Recently the team shot for more than one promo with the cast including Vindhya. Now the promo will be re-shot with Ridhi.
As for Ridhi, this will be her full-fledged daily soap comeback after Savitri. However she has been part of Nach Baliye with hubby Raqesh Vashisth, Khatron Ke Khiladi and a cameo in Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Ridhi will reprise the role of Kajol in the We Are Family inspired show.
When contacted, Vindhya confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I am not doing the show anymore. I always was in talks regarding my dates with the production. I need to be travelling abroad in January. Having said this, I have a good rapport with the channel and also the production. I hope to work with them in the near future. I believe all that happens is for good."
