Lately TV town has seen many men efficiently playing women’s characters, be it Chutki, Gutthi, Palak or many more. Joining the league with the same efficiency is Pammi aunty, a character played by Ssumier S Pasricha, an actor previously seen on Colors TV’s Sasural Simar Ka.

We aked him about how the character was born, to which Ssumier told us that it all happened on one random day. He was introduced to Snapchat by his nephew Arnon and a friend Kunal, and he amazed with the filters available on the app. He used one of those and made a random Snapchat video about the Sasural Simar Ka’s ‘Makkhi’ character, which to his surprise got an unexpected response. Ever since then, this laughter riot and the videos have not stopped.

During the conversation, the actor showed his humble side as well. On being asked if any of the existing TV characters were his inspiration, he said “I feel Gutthi, Palak and other characters are too big, and they inspire many people. They certainly inspired me, but Pammi character has no relation to it. Infact Pammi aunty is a character in every Punjabi house and my family is my main inspiraton.”

Pammi aunty’s videos have gone viral globally, on all the social media platforms, be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat. The best part about the video is that Pammi aunty has also won renowned bollywood actor, Rishi Kapoor’s heart. He recently tweeted about the same and also asked Ssumeir to do a TV show with the title “Hor Ki”, featuring the character. The eminent B-Town actor also predicts the show to be hit, if made.

Ssumier further added that many production houses have approached him for a show. He is in talks with them and would love feature Pammi aunty in a webseries, radio or on TV. And before signing off the call, he took the opportunity to thank all the fans who have loved the character. He also promised to surprise his fans by introducing a new character very soon.
