Indian broadcasters have borrowed international formats like Indian Idol and Kaun Banega Crorepati for desi television. However, now for the first time an Indian show has been licensed internationally. Pakistan is the first country to have bought MTV’s unique adventure reality show Roadies from Viacom 18.

Senior VP, Sales and Marketing Aditya Swami says, “Roadies no more belongs to just India. This format has now been licensed internationally and very soon, we are going to see Roadies come up in many other parts of the world.”

Raghu Ram who is back with the show’s newest season says, “Roadies is an original idea, it’s not an international format, in fact it is the first show that will be remade in the world.”

The show promises much more entertainment and has also roped in actor John Abraham for its online version ‘MTV Roadies Battleground’.
