The charming young sensation Rohan Mehra popularly known as Naksh of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will be seen playing one of the leads in upcoming flick Uvaa that is slated to release tomorrow (26 June).
The actor will be seen playing a lover boy named Anil Sharma in the film and will have a strong character. He will be part of the young school gang who would stand up for a girl after she would get raped. The film that projects a social message has a stellar star cast comprising of Sanjay Mishra, Om Puri, Rajit Kapoor, Jimmy Sheirgill, Sangram Singh among others.
Talking about his experience Rohan shared, “It was definitely one of the best experiences that I had with some of the noted actors. Although it has been long since we shot for the film, I still feel happy remembering about the good old days. I really hope my fans like the movie and not just enjoy it, but also learn from it.”
The actor was also in for a surprise when his entire team of Yeh Rishta got together to support his film. “We recently got T-shirts with the logo, and everyone was really sweet enough to wear and post pictures on social networking sites asking their fans to watch the film. We have become like a close knit family and they are equally excited about Uvaa.”
Finally when we asked on what is his filmy career plans, the young gun smiled to say, “I am open to all kinds of roles and I have no special preference for any medium. As for now I am really satisfied with the love and recognition I am receiving from Yeh Rishta..., and I hope to go slow and steady towards a great future.”
