Shooting for seven films are over while three more are in the making. “Each story will have different actors and different directors like Sudipto Chattopadhyay (Pankh), Sarthak Dasgupta (Great Indian Butterfly), Rajeev Virani (Help), Siddharth Anand have done some stories and I have directed two films. I am creatively involved in all of them. Ronit has acted in two films but I have not directed those movies as we can’t work together. We approached him to play these characters because we wanted someone of his calibre. All these films are one and a half hours long because TV audience can’t stick to any show for a long time.” Roy says.
It is said these stories are based on real life incidents of a few prominent Bollywood celebrities and one of them is loosely based on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s life. “It is not completely based on anyone’s life as such but there are few parts in some stories which you find similar to someone’s life. They are inspired from people I know in the industry. But you will have to watch these movies to know more about them. Further Aishwarya is too young to make a movie on her and she is like family to us,” he informs.
The channel has not decided the launch date for these films as yet but the star cast includes names like Sudhanshu Pandey, Shraddha Nigam, Mansi Joshi Roy, Aushima Sawhney and others.
Roy is also working on his next project called Sex, Crime and Jack Daniels. A thriller, it will be directed by Rajeev Virani. He will act in this movie for which the female lead is yet to be finalise.
