MUMBAI: Roopal Tyagi is all to return to the television screens after two years. She is returning with the show, Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.
The actress has been roped in to play a key role in the show. She will be playing the role of a reporter in Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.
During her break, Roopal was working on her health.
She said to a leading daily, “I had neglected my health because of hectic shooting schedules, and finally, my body gave in. I started gaining weight and was depressed, which I wasn’t aware of until I got myself checked. So, I needed to change my lifestyle, and healing took a lot of time.”
She continued, “Daily soaps can be exhausting and it was important to recharge myself before starting a new project. Hunting for good work also took long. It took some time to clarify that I was ready to take up a show, as a lot of people had assumed I wasn’t, because I was on a break. So more than difficult, it was about the right time and patience. Now, I have a proper fitness routine and am healthy, both mentally and physically.”
Roopal is excited about coming back to acting with a strong character.
Speaking about her character in the show, she further said to the daily, “She is as fearless and progressive as Gunjan, and has been inspired by Kareena Kapoor Khan’s role in Satyagraha.”
Previously, Roopal played the role of Gunjan in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. The role made her a household name. She was last seen on Bigg Boss.
