Zee TV’s first dance reality show, Rock ‘N’ Roll Family came to a close with the Roy family from Kolkata winning the contest.
The mega finale took place in Indore where the three finalists, the Roys, the Bhalkes and the Saxena family gave a stupendous performance. Judges Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Tanuja along with Tanisha were there to witness who out of the chosen three would finally win the coveted title of ‘Rock N Roll Family’ and a cash prize of Rs.50 lakhs.
An elated Jacky, patriarch of the Roy family, says, “It’s still hard to believe that we’ve won the contest. The last few months have been like a dream for us. I’d just like to thank all the people who’ve supported us.”
Jacky’s wife Geetali says, “I didn’t expect us win but it was my 5-year-old son Suprodeep who kept us on our toes throughout the competition. Without him, this victory wouldn’t have been possible. I’d also want to thank my mother (Rita Chakravarthy) for agreeing to participate with us.”
Now that the contest is over, how will the family spend 50 lakhs? Geetali replies, “Well, we still haven’t got the cash. Let us get the money first and then we’ll decide. Obviously, this money will help us provide better education for our son.”
The final of Rock ‘N’ Roll Family will be aired on 14 and 15 June at 10.00 pm on Zee TV.
