Star Plus’ finite series, Tamanna produced by Ramesh Deo Productions, as reported exclusively by Tellychakkar.com will see the entry of the new male lead in Deepak Wadhwa very soon.

Well, with the track shifting to Meerut, wherein Dhara (Anuja Sathe) will start her life afresh with her daughter (Tashvi), she will soon bump into a family who would be her new support system in her life ahead.

Noted actress Ruchi Savarn, who was last seen in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh will be making a comeback to daily soaps with Tamanna. This will be her first long-running stint post her marriage to actor Ankit Mohan.

As per reliable sources, “Ruchi will play the role of Mridula, who would be Dhara’s neighbour. Mridula will be very affectionate towards Shubhangi, Dhara’s daughter, as she will not have a child of her own. Ruchi’s character will be quite important to the story line, as she will go on to be Dhara’s support in achieving her dreams.”

Also joining the show will be Shailesh Gulabani, who is seen in Star Plus’ Siya Ke Ram. He will play Ruchi’s husband.

When contacted, Ruchi told us, “I chose to give a nod to this show since I have worked with the production house before for a celebrity Marathi reality show. I found this character to be meaty enough. And the best part is that since it is a finite series, there would never be a feeling of stagnation. Every character in the show is so well-etched and established so well that I feel privileged to be part of this ensemble cast.”
