Sanjay Kohli, producer of FIR, one of the most popular shows on SAB TV, promises to bring in more laughter in the show’s recently positioned weekend slot starting 12 July. And we at Tellychakkar.com report about some interesting developments which will prove that the makers have some interesting plans to deliver eventful entertainment.

After the slot shift, the show will now be seen in a brand new avatar, starting 19 July.

Wondering what the new avatar will be all about?

We learn that like many shows on different channels attempting to introduce a break through genre by engaging live audience in fiction shows, FIR will also be seen following the trail. The episodes will showcase the live audience who will not only laugh and shower claps but also involve themselves in brainstorming sessions with Chandramukhi Chautala in Imam Chowky.

It will so happen that a senior inspector will credit the way cases are solved in Imam Chowky and will inform Chandramukhi that people would be visiting to watch how smartly cases are dealt with in the police station.

Informs a source, “FIR will stay true to presenting cases with a dash of entertainment and rib-tickling laughter, except the fact that the out-door shoots where Chandramukhi is usually seen investigating cases will be very limited. The episodes will be kept light-hearted and will be shot in the build-up of Imam Chowky itself where Chandramukhi Chautala (Kavita Kaushik) will interact with the audience.”

Nice, indeed!!

We also learn that while the supporting cast of the show, Sapna Sirwarkar, Deepesh Bhan, Manish Mishra, Shekhar Shukla and Manju Sharma will be retained, the latest additions Kamya Punjabi and Vinod Singh will not be a part of the series due to their not so impressive comic performances.

When we buzzed Producer Sanjay Kohli, he averred, “We Indians are very serious people and engaging live audience adds a feel good factor in the show. I feel all the shows are keen on offering the kind of format Kapil Sharma delivers in Comedy Nights With Kapil. However, FIR will be nowhere close to the format. It would purely remain a fiction show. With regards to the cast of the show, all the actors who are talented and wish to be associated with FIR will be welcomed if the requirement calls for it. ”

We wish the show all the best with its new avatar!!!
