After conducting a nation wide research on popular narrative themes, SaharaOne is coming up with a bouquet of shows by the end of the current year. One among these popular themes is the serial titled Zaara---Pyar Ki Saugat. The story of the show is about an upper middle-class Muslim family. The protagonist of the show Zaara (played by Samiksha Jug) is a young, sweet-natured girl who has returned to her hometown after finishing her studies abroad. While her childhood sweetheart Samar (played by Abhay Vakil) stays abroad, Zaara has a tough option to face in terms of granting a wish to her beloved sister Zeenat. "My character is of a simple family girl, who is ready to sacrifice her happiness for the sake of others." says the pretty actor. The show tries to cash on this intriguing wish of Zeenat which might shatter the life of Zaara. Adds the creative supervisor of the show Imran Mir "We have tried to portray a realistic story that is contemporary at the same time. The plot is not another run-of-the mill love triangle. I am pretty hopeful that it will be liked by the audience." Sanjay Kohli the producer of show is quite upbeat about the launch of Zaara. According to the producer "It is after a long time that a story is set against a Muslim backdrop. It is a story that is not limited to a particular section of the audience. My belief is that it is an emotional showcase of our experiences of love and sacrifice." Shantonu Aditya, CEO, SaharaOne agrees that the new shows that are being launched would take the channel to newer heights. He adds that "With the launch of Zaara we have not only revamped the primetime band but have also expanded the viewing time." SaharaOne is unleashing a whole lot of new programming to strengthen its position in the competition. Hope with the launch of these new shows the channel is able to generate more viewership.
