Salman Yusuff Khan, who has been rocking the stage of Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa along with Isha Sharvani, was assaulted for no reason by two policemen in the wee hours today (2.30 am to be specific). Shocking, isn’t it? We have the details for you right here!! Salman was returning from Filmistan Studio after his technical rehearsals at around 2.30 am in the morning in an auto rickshaw when the rickshaw driver bypassed the signal and started speeding. Two policemen who noticed this followed the auto in their bike and this is when Salman and his assistant (who were in the auto) somehow managed to jump out of the auto realizing that the auto guy was speeding without any reason. When the policemen came up to Salman, he showed them the direction in which the auto has gone. And in few minutes the police guys were back with the auto fellow and all of a sudden started beating up Salman and his assistant too. When Salman enquired about the reason for lathi charge on him, the policemen said that he was the one who asked the auto guy to go fast and this is the version given by the auto fellow. We hear that Salman was so aggressively attacked that his ears started to bleed and he has bruises on his hand which he got when he tried to cover his face from the hit. If this was not enough, Salman went to the Goregaon Police Station and tried to file a complaint against the policemen for beating him up. But what he faced at the police station was again a bad treatment!! The police guys refused to file an FIR and wanted him to go through a medical test to check whether he has consumed alcohol. He was made to wait there for more than three hours, after which it was declared that he had not consumed alcohol. However, the senior police guys sent the two policemen (who were involved in the incident) away as they were high on alcohol. When the media came in, the policemen were gone and the auto guy was being beaten up by the police. Tellychakkar.com managed to have a word with Salman Yusuff Khan who confirmed the assault on him and told us, “It is a pity that the policemen beat civilians like this. I am sorry to say that I am paying my taxes properly and living in a place where we get to be treated like this. The senior police officials refused to file an FIR and hid the police guys even before the media could come in as they had consumed alcohol. They asked me to go through a medical test and without even conducting any test; they issued a report saying I was not drunk. It was really a weird incident and I got harassed for no fault of mine.” It is indeed a disturbing incident!!!
