Star Plus’ long-running show Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions) has introduced a competitor at work for Sandhya (Deepika Singh), in Arpita Khanna (Rishina Kandhari). 

Arpita who is a hard-working officer, aspires to get all that she deserves. And in this quest, she will start to play nasty with Sandhya, who has re-joined work after a break. 

In the coming episodes, Sandhya will be given the task of nabbing an anti-national. And just when Sandhya will be about to go to the place to nab the guy, Arpita will mislead Sandhya and will instead proceed to catch the person. 

As per sources, “While Sandhya will be late to reach the action spot, Arpita will valiantly fight against the goon and capture him. When Arpita will bring him to the police station, the senior officials will praise Arpita a lot, and will ridicule Sandhya as she was not able to carry out the mission successfully.”

How will this tashan for bravery between the two talented women shape up? Will Arpita be successful in defaming Sandhya? 

When contacted, Rishina told us, “Well, as for Arpita, she is a very nice girl who works very diligently. With Sandhya reporting back to work, the girl is a bit dazed, and wants to win over Sandhya at every opportunity.”
