Sanjay Gagnani will 'miss' his 'convict' avatar in Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls

Sanjay Gagnani

Sanjay Gagnani is a tad bit sad these days, as he needs to go through a look makeover after attempting something that he has never done before.

Well, loyal viewers of & TV’s Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls (Cinevistaas Ltd) would have seen Sanjay’s newest avatar of a convict suffering from a mental disorder after losing seven valuable years in the jail for a crime he had not committed.

For this, Sanjay who plays the role of Abhimanyu, younger brother of Dylan (Aamir Ali) in the show sported a beard for the very first time ever.

Says Sanjay, “It is true that I have never put up a beard for any role in my earlier shows. So this was a challenge for me. And to play a person who was mentally weak, sleep-deprived, pale and weak was really worth it. I would have loved it if I had gotten more time to prepare for the role. But in the one week that was given to me, I lost 2-3 Kgs to look the character. I enjoyed every bit of this role. It is sad that Abhimanyu will now be going through a makeover after going through a therapy at the rehabilitation centre. If you personally ask me, I would have wanted Abhimanyu to be the same way for a longer time.”

Talking about his new look, Sanjay tells us, “Well, as per the track, Dylan will prove Abhimanyu to be innocent, and then take him to a rehab centre. So when I get back, I will have a fresh look, and will look more like myself.”

For the twists ahead, Sanjay assures his loyal fans, “With Abhimanyu’s return, there are lot of highpoints and twists to come up. I had got a very good response for my entry track in the show. And I expect the same from viewers even now.”

Best of luck, Sanjay!!
