Sasural Simar Ka sets under renovation...reason: rat attack

Run run…it’s a rat attack. The above words were heard being shouted on the sets of Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms). Okay…we are exaggerating a bit…but we all get a little overboard when it comes to a ratatouille moment. What’s really the dope is that the set of the above show is up for a renovation, thanks to the rats gnawing at most of the properties.

“Sofa sets, other properties, mostly everything has damaged and we are at the moment looking at repainting the entire set and fixing the sofas also,” said a source.

The renovation work began yesterday (19 April 2013) and it will go on for the next few days.

Fortunately enough, the renovation will not disrupt the shooting schedule, as the source further tells us, “We are working in a way where the shooting will continue. At the moment, we are shooting for an outdoor sequence so we do not need the sets. But, even later, we will fix places where shooting is not being carried on. For example, we will work on the bedrooms if the hall is being used for a scene or vice versa.”

We tried reaching producer Rashmi Sharma, but she remained unavailable for comment.
