Saumya Tandon has moved on in life. After playing the affable Rusty in Aisa Des Hain Mera, she's now being seen as the conniving vamp in Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni. Taking the track forward is her character Ria, a hip city crooner, who's creating differences between the lead protagonists Sudha (Ashima Bhalla) and Raj (Karan Grover). This firang looking gal says, "Portraying a negative character is a huge commitment. I have had to work a lot on my character and mannerisms. However, I'm enjoying those clashes between Sudha and me. In fact, I love to hate Sudha." Elaborating further on the track, Saumya says, "The initial episodes focused on the love track but now I hope the creative writers will come back to the original concept of Awaaz. Also, let's accept the fact that our target audiences (read small town housewives), are not well equipped to understand the nuances of a grey character. They either want to love you or hate you. Period." It's always good to be bad Saumya!
