Host Shaan in tears This week Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Lil Champs, to be aired on 25 August, will be high on emotions! It is dedicated to a very special relationship - the parent-children bond. An eventful journey, which will take all the viewers down the memory lane where they will recollect their childhood days. Parents will choose a particluar song for their kid to sing. Like Pawni from Mumbai sang 'tu mera dil tu meri jaan' (Akele Hum Akele Tum), after which both the daughter and father got sweeped with the emotions and started crying. And Mumbai kid, Sameer crooned 'tujse naaraz nahi zindagi' (Masoom). The day was so gushy that even host Shaan broke down on the sets in between the shoot. He says, " Seeing all parents cry, it was very emotional for me. Theireyes spoke volumes about how happy and proud they were seeing their child sing on stage. It's human psychology that you always end up associating past and present events. And I became pensive. Personally, I did not get that the opportunity to make my parents happy and proud as these kids have today. I was very young (13 yrs) when my dad (Manas Mukheerji) expired. I tried my best to control my emotions but could not hide for long." Bappi Da consoled Shaan as he said, "I have worked with Shri Manas Mukheerji and he was like a source of inspiration for me." The remarkable event of the episode is that no kid will be out of the show on 25 August, as we all know that as per the norm, Friday is the elimination day. The judges Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and Bappi da came upto this decision as they wanted to end the episode with a smile and wanted to be fair with their judgement as all participants had become emotional that day.
