MUMBAI: From helping you take your first steps to see you become a successful person in life, mothers always take pride in their children’s tiniest achievements. But what happens when you need your mother when you grow up? Well she’s always going to be there even then. Sony TV’s latest offering Indiawaali Maa beautifully highlights that nobody is too old to need their mothers. The audience cannot wait to see the popular on screen jodi Akshay Mhatre and Sheen Dass back together again with their new show Indiawaali Maa.  

Actress Sheen Dass who will be playing the role of Chinamma who belongs to a staunch Kannada family, has given her blood and sweat for this role. In order to prepare for this role, Sheen took up many language training workshops and rigorous diction training for her lingo and accent as a proper Kannada girl in the show. To maintain the authenticity of a true blue Kannada family, even her co-stars, Vandana Lalwani, Shubhanshi Singh who will be seen as Vasu and Meenamma, along with others are going through the same training by the tutor appointed on set. The tutor individually trained Sheen before they began shooting and she has mastered the accent in a few days!  

Talking about her experience, Sheen says, “I like learning new things for my roles and this time round, I got to learn to speak in Kannada dialect. The pronunciation for words is very different in Kannada and words need to come out very clean while talking in that accent. That’s why I have been training from my tutor on how to pronounce certain words for my role as Chinamma in Indiawaali Maa. This is something I have never done before and it’s a very interesting thing to learn. I have had fun shooting with Akshay he is a lovely co-star.”
