Talented actress Shikha Singh will be back to television with Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya (Balaji Telefilms).
As reported in media, the lady will essay the role of Abhi’s (Shabbir Ahluwalia) younger sister, Aaliya. The girl who would have this typical Harward mentality will hate the sight of poor people, and would have the impression that all those who are poor are gold-diggers. Very arrogant and bitchy in her attitude, Aaliya though would be the ‘apple’ of Abhi’s eyes. She will share a very close bond with Abhi, and Abhi too will love her sister alike anything.
Aaliya would enter at a time when there would be trouble brewing at Abhi’s place.
As we know, Aakash’s (Ankit Mohan) truth is out, and Abhi is extremely upset that his brother was responsible in making Rachana pregnant. And Aaliya would be seen giving her advice to Abhi. She would tell Abhi not to be angry with Aakash and blame him for everything that has happened. She will tell Abhi that a poor girl like Rachana would have intentionally got into a relationship with Akash to bear his baby in her womb.
When contacted, Shikha Singh told Tellychakkar.com, “Well, I am super-excited to be part of Kumkum Bhagya. The challenge for me is to play this bitchy role of Aaliya, which is completely unlike me. I start shoot from today, and my introduction will be aired in tonight’s episode.”
For the uninitiated, Shikha Singh was earlier short-listed to play Shabbir’s girl friend in the show, the role that later went to Madhurima Tuli.
Shikha stated, “Yes, it is true that I was to play Shabbir’s girlfriend earlier. But for some reason, that did not happen. And Ekta (Kapoor) had kept me on a hold. I feel she had felt that I would look perfect for the role of the negative lead Aaliya. The character will have a strong presence in the show, and will be the main negative lead.”
