MUMBAI: Aditya Narayan has been a part of the industry for almost 27 years now, being a successful child artist and moving on to becoming one of the most prominent hosts of the country. Also being the son of Mega singer Udit Narayan, he has been in the limelight ever since he was born.
Narayan's first playback song was for the Nepalese film Mohini in 1992, and then for Asha Bhosle in the Hindi film Rangeela. In 1995, he and his father, Udit Narayan, performed a song for Akele Hum Akele Tum.
Narayan performed over 100 songs as a child artist and also released the album Aditya through Polygram Music (now Universal Music). "Chhota Baccha Jaan Ke," from the 1996 film Masoom, was his most popular song. He received his first major film award, the Screen Awards critics' Best Child Singer in 1997. For the same song, Narayan won a special jury award at the Screen Awards as the best child singer.
But Aditya is predominantly known for his hosting duties on singing shows like Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The singer recently retired from his hosting duties. The singer had taken to his Instagram handle and shared an emotional note bidding adieu to the show.
Now elaborating more on that after a fan asked him a question about returning to hosting in a question and answer session he hosted on his social media, he said that he wants to focus on his wife and his baby daughter.
Aditya went on to explain in detail the multiple reasons why he won't be going back to hosting any time soon, he also said that "hosting doesn't excite me anymore like it used to, I want to focus on my singing/dancing/acting skills, and I want to focus on my fitness because my fitness has taken a back seat on because of covid."
He also elaborated on the fact that he is stopping at the top of his game and that he has already hosted every top singing show in the past 4 years and it is best to leave when he is at the top.
Fans will definitely miss Aditya Narayan hosting the show but are excited to see him in more projects.
