The rising crime rate in our country has been giving us sleepless nights. And last night actor/producer Vikaas Kalantri faced an attack from which he fortunately managed to escape!!!

Vikaas, who was driving back home was suddenly alerted when his car was splashed with some kind of liquid. As soon as he started wiping it thinking it to be water, it created foam on his windshield. His wife alerted him saying that she had read an article on crooks doing the act to loot people once they come out to clean their car. Vikaas thus drove off without stopping and reached his aunt’s building in Pali Road and cleaned up his car.

The shocking incident happened in Bandra near Candies, which is a hangout spot for youth and the incident left Vikaas shaken.

We called up the actor who shared, “It is really a very dangerous practice and I was so astonished how goons find such strange ways of looting people. I am so glad that my wife had read the story and warned me not to stop the car. The liquid used by them is some sticky substance; I was aghast seeing the condition of my car.”

When we asked him whether he filed a complaint, Vikaas shared, “Since nothing happened, the complaint would have been futile. But I want people to be aware of this so that they can be careful. It’s surprising to know that such events have also been recorded in Churchgate, Kandivali and Malad in Mumbai and some other cities too. People should never fall for this and just drive off to safety.”
