MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television's family drama, 'Mehndi Wala Ghar', has struck a chord with viewers with its endearing narrative that delves into the intricate dynamics of Ujjain’s Agrawal family. Despite facing multiple hurdles, Mauli (Shruti Anand) and Rahul’s (Shehzad Shaikh) relationship has finally been accepted by the entire Agrawal family except for Rahul’s mother, Tanvi. As Mauli and Rahul tie the knot, the entire Agrawal family has come together to celebrate their wedding ceremonies.
Mauli, who has been deprived of a real family for so long, has finally found the love and togetherness she longed for at Mehndi Wala Ghar. And for her ‘big day’, Mauli will be seen wearing a beautiful red bridal lehenga that was once worn by Janaki Maa on her wedding day.
Shruti Anand, who plays the character of Mauli, expressed her excitement about the bridal attire saying, "For Mauli, this wedding is a very special occasion as it’s more than her union with Rahul; it’s about finding the family she's always longed for. Having lost her parents at a young age and facing desertion on the wedding day itself from Manas, Mauli has always felt a void in her life when it comes to family. But now, Mauli has all that she wished for and more and she is radiating happiness since she's married the love of her life. Just like every Indian bride dreams of wearing a special piece that has been passed down in the family from her mother or grandmother, Mauli will be seen wearing Janaki Maa’s wedding lehenga.
