It's not often that the creative director of a show has occasion to write, compose and lend his voice for a specially song on his show.

But that's exactly what Neela Telefilms' creative director Nirav Vaidya has done in today's episode of Saarthi on Star Plus. The Holi special episode includes a song picturised on Arjun and Bhumika, the two leads of the show, who slip away from the Holi festivities for an intimate encounter in a shed.

What's unique about the song, which is interspersed with shots of Prachee Shah enacting the lovelorn Radha's love for Krishna, is that Nirav thought up the song, composed it in a combination of the Puryadhanashri and Basant ragas, and lent his own voice to the composition. All this, apart from his usual duties as creative director of the show!

"True, it shows the intimacy between Arjun and Bhumika, but we have juxtaposed it with the love of Radha for Krishna," says an excited Nirav. The five minute 45 second long song, has been aesthetically shot in suffused light, giving the encounter between the two almost an ethereal feel. Nirav of course, also credits the show's writer Rajesh Joshi and the music director Bhavesh Bhatt, for helping him out in the composition of the song.

For those who came in late, Bhumika is Arjun's bubbly bride, full of energy and goodness. She is very conscious of the fact that she is a daughter of the servant of the family and is initially unable to express her love to Arjun. She admires and supports Arjun in all he does and even gets ready to accept Shefali as Arjun's wife.

Arjun on the other hand, plays the metaphorical version of the Mahabharata character. The youngest brother and the most adorable of all, Arjun falls in love with Bhumika after he loses Shefali to Yuvraj. And yes, he too loves music, dance and plays drums. That's something in common with Nirav!
