Sonu Walia makes a comeback after 13 years

She won the best supporting actress award for her portrayal of the evil turned good Nandini in Khoon bhari maang and then followed a spate of other movies. The actress later faded into oblivion. But there is good news for the fans of this Parveen Babi lookalike actress. Sonu is all set to make a comeback approximately after 13 years on television. She was seen in TV series Betaal Pachisi along with Tom Alter and Shahbaz Khan. The actress will now make a return with Contiloe Telefilms’ tentatively titled Chal Chanchal Chal on Sony Sab. The show will also have seasoned comic actor Rakesh Bedi, talented Sandeep 'Piddhi' Anand of Sunn Yaar Chill Maar fame. Informs a source from the show, “This is a unique show and marks the return of Bollywood actress Sonu Walia. Apparently, Rakesh Bedi too is returning after a long time post his show Yes Boss. Sandeep Anand, Anoop Upadhyay and Kunal Kumar of Namaste London fame too are a part of the show. Bedi plays the character of a middle-aged man who has not been able to clear his standard 10th exams. The love of his life, played by Walia, has now become a professor and as per a condition he will have to clear his class 10th exams to marry Walia. Sandeep, on the other hand, plays the character of a rich guy who goes bankrupt one unfortunate day but still believes in living life king size. Rookie actress Rishina Kandhar will be seen opposite him. The show tentatively titled as Chal Chanchal Chal will launch sometime post IPL.” When contacted, both Bedi and Anand refused to comment. All attempts to reach Walia were futile. We also sent a text to producer Abhimanyu Singh but he didn’t revert.
