Producer duo Jay and Kinnari Mehta have already struck ‘gold’ by roping in seasoned actress Poonam Dhillon to play the central character of the mother-in-law in their untitled show for Sony Entertainment Television.
Our readers would remember that Tellychakkar.com has been constantly doling out news regarding the cast of the show. We now have information regarding the actor to play Dhillon’s husband.
A reliable source tells us that Sooraj Thapar, who is presently seen in Colors’ Bani – Ishq Da Kalma, will play the husband of Poonam Dhillon and the father to the male lead, essayed by Karan Sharma. As we know, Krystle D’Souza plays the female lead on the show.
Also, we hear that beautiful lass Ankita Bhargava, who was last seen in Dekha Ek Khwaab on Sony TV, has been roped in to play daughter to Dhillon and Thapar.
When contacted, Sooraj told us, “Yes, I am doing the new Jay Mehta show for Sony. I will be playing one of the important characters, is what I can tell you as of now.”
Ankita Bhargava too confirmed her presence in the show stating, “Yes, I am doing the new show for Sony. This will mark my comeback to TV after a year and will be my strongest role till date.”
Now that the principal cast has been locked, the makers will be shooting the promo very soon.
