In a crowded conversation room,a casual figure stunned the public. In a white linen suit was Shekhar Suman, dressed just right for a hot summer evening. The new package is unavoidable, the 50 year old actor, witty stand-up comedian, a man of all issues has donned another feather in his bonnet. He is all set to cut an album by the end of the month. Titled Kuch Khwab Aise, the album will be released by T-Series by the end of this month. It will feature Shekhar with a leading lady, who is yet to be finalised. We caught up with the judge of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, who just can't help reinventing himself all the time. Was coming up with an album a way of getting back to the world of music that he missed in hard core satire? "Yes, quite the fact, also I have been doing riyaaz for a decade now and it was time that I felt comfortable to do something that I have talent for," he avers. Shekhar has a weakness for soft melodious music, is Kuch Khwab Aise going to be a reflection of the same? "Absolutely, it has eight love ballads that are filled with melody. They are contemporary, soft numbers and are beautifully composed by Aadesh Shrivastav. Its going to be great and has no other option because I have worked my butt off on this album, five hours of ri yaaz everyday with song selection etc… is a task." In the traditional sense, are his ballads dedicated to someone special? "Yes, they are dedicated to all the beautiful women in my life, and a lot of people I fell in love with! I can't say their names; they are just faces to me today. But they have impacted my soul with the beauty of body, mind and soul ! Along with his riyaaz, Shekhar has sculpted his physique so gorgeous as to embarrass the youth of the country. His chuckles loud, "I know it's fantastic na? When I started gymming, slowly all gymmers started coming to me for tips as my body shaped up faster than anyone thought it would. Suddenly I have become a role model to emulate!" Which has been his favourite machine to work on? "I love pumping iron more than anything. I put in four hours almost everyday and now I am addicted to it. This came as a surprise as I wasn't quite aware that it would not let me rest quietly. It's taught me that if you have the potential you must just go for it!
