Channel V’s popular show Gumrah has brought in light youth crimes in India, helping youngsters to become aware of how sudden outbursts of emotions can lead to lifelong pain.

The show is all set to comeback with a new season and popular face Karan Patel has been roped in by the makers to host the show.

Now what is to be noted is the co-incidence with the show and its hosts, who have the same name ‘Karan’.

As viewers would know Gumrah that was launched by Balaji Telefilms and Lost Boy Productions had the TV heartthrob Karan Kundra host the show. The guy instantly got much acclaim, with his hosting stint and the show gained great popularity.

After successfully doing the show for three seasons, Karan Kundra was replaced by Abhay Deol soon after. The show too was handed over to Keylight Productions with this season. But soon after that, Abhay was replaced by Karanvir Bohra.

Karanvir was brought in after Abhay failed to impress viewers and connect with the youth. The actor definitely stood his ground and brought the show instant eyeballs.

And then, suddenly the news of the much in talk Karan Patel has came in force. The production and channel seeing the popularity of Karan Patel decided to bring him in, putting the other Karan out. The actor has already shot for the promo and the new season will launch from this weekend.
