Star Plus in association with Fox Television Studio is all ready to roll out its new show Sangam. The love saga revolves around the lead character Ganga, a small town intelligent and ambitious girl. who falls in love with Sagar aka Chaitanya Chaudhary. Slotted at 7.00 pm on Star Plus, the show has Jennifer Winget in the lead. "Ganga believes in following her dreams and doing the best for her family. She strives to fulfil her father's hopes and dreams," she says. On being asked how she can relate herself with these two characters she said, "Sneha is a completely different character from what I am playing in Sangam. The reason for me to take up this show is that though Kasautii has given me recognition but I was always looking for strong characters. This is completely different from what I have done in the past. I am looking forward to this venture," laughs out Jennifer. Other actors such as Chaitanya Chaudhary and Shaleen Bhanot will carry forward the story to another level. Last seen in Kahiin Toh Hoga, the actor say, "I play Sagar, a calm guy who believes in family values. The story unfolds when the plot reveals that Ganga is not the only girl in his life. He's already committed to a girl since childhood chosen by his family. But later Sagar realises that he has fallen in love with Ganga and now its time to decide on his love or family values," he adds. Shaleen, who essays the role of Madan, the bad guy in the story says, "I love to essay a negative role as it gives me an opportunity to show my creative side. Madan also loves Ganga from the bottom of his heart and wants her at any cost. It's a completely different role from what I have played earlier," adds Shaleen.
