MUMBAI: Star Plus’ Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji (4 Lions Films and Invictus T Mediaworks), which launched with much aplomb, will soon go off-air.
Yes, according to our sources, the show is shutting shop on 8th August, and the cast will wrap-up their shoot on 31st July.
Based in Amritsar, the series explores the heart-warming tale of a carefree girl named Happy.
Recently, the show took a leap of six years, and female protagonist Jasmin Bhasin quit subsequently. Actress Donal Bisht replaced her. However, the change in storyline also didn’t help it gain more viewership.
We could not get through to lead actors Ansh Bagri and Donal Bisht for their comment.
Dil Toh Happy Ji Hai Ji will likely be replaced by Siddharth Malhotra’s Sanjivani 2.
