MUMBAI: The much awaited Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 premiered on October 19. It brought Gopi bahu and Kokila together once again on-screen.

It starts with Gopi (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) missing Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) on his birthday. Kokila (Rupal Patel) consoles her and gets emotional. We see that Ahem has become a wrestler in a village. Other wrestlers cheer him and address him as Gopi, thanks to his ‘Gopi’ tattoo.

Characters from season one are also shown. Vandana Vithlani (Urmila), Manish Arora (Parag), and Swati Shah (Hetal) make a comeback. Soon, another family is introduced, that of Kokila’s brother Praful Desai, a rich businessman based in Surat.

The family consists of Praful; his wife, Jamuna; his sons Pankaj, Chetan, and Anant; and the former two's spouses, Kanak and Hema. Gehna, the maid of the house, does every household work for the Desais, but still feels humiliated every time. Apart from Praful and his wife, all the family members seem to hate Gehna and inflict torture upon her, disrespect her and insult her. It also introduces a lecherous character – Sagar, who has his lustful eyes set on Gehna. Gehna’s character is shown to be a damsel in distress.

Well, the show has been entertaining and it recently completed a successful run of 100 episodes. Sneha Jain took to her social media to share her happiness. Take a look:
