Master Chef with Akshay Kumar is going to start with studio episodes from next month. It has recently finished the audition process. A source says, "We had auditions across the country and there were many enthusiastic homemakers who took part in the show. We have zeroed in on the final 14 women for the Mumbai round. We have shot pilot episodes and have sent it to the channel, to show them the packaging and presentation of the episode. Soon we will get their approval.” The source adds, “There will be two other judges from cooking background in the show apart from Akshay Kumar. All these 14 women will have to cook various recipes; judges will taste at the end of the episode and give their results. The show will mostly feature commoners only though we will have some special guest as judges and they may too cook a few dishes. By the second week of August we will start shooting, there is no anchor in the show. The set has been built at Filmcity.” It is said that the show may go on air by September.
