Hotstar is all set to launch its next cineplay called ‘Guy in the Sky’!

And it’s going to star none other than Sunny Hinduja who rose to fame with his performance in 2011 film directed by Shashi Sudigala ‘Cycle Kick’ and in director Ajita Suchetra Veera’s much acclaimed 2014 film ‘Ballad of Rustom’. TV folks know him better as Manav from Reporters.

‘Guy in the Sky’ will re-tell the story of the Jnanpith Award winner Kannada playwright ‘Scapegoat’ which was written by Chandrasekar Kambar.

It is a satire revolving around the lives of a pretentiously happy couple and a vengeful assassin in today’s time. The ups and downs in the story slowly filter out the reality of each character while they find themselves battling chaos of an unexpected situation and conflict between their political views.

Talking about his character in the play, Sunny said, “I am playing the husband who represents the common man; on how he gets swayed by the politicians and has blind illusionary trust on them. He has confused political views. He is disturbed mentally n emotionally as politics enters his house. He ends up hiding his opinions to maintain peace in house!”

The play will also star internationally acclaimed actress Tannishta Chatterjee as Chaaya and Maanvi Gagroo as Mehak, while Sunny will play Raghav.

Guy in the Sky will release on 13 June, only on Hotstar under the Hotstar Originals!
