Tellychakkar.com recently reported about Doli Armanon Ki fame Vibhuti Thakur essaying an emotional role in an episodic story of Colors’ Code Red that will be based on an eunuch’s tale. Not many know that this Code Red – Awaaz story line has been shot with a very realistic approach, with real eunuchs being called to be part of the story. Produced by Anshuman Kishore Singh and Sheena Singh’s Sunshine Rise Productions, the upcoming story actually threw in a lot of challenge to the makers to get the feel of the story right. And we hear that they have given their best shot when it comes to casting for this unique tale. A source states, “Initially it was a bit challenge than the normal routine stories as the Producers and the Creative Director wanted real eunuchs to portray the roles. Like all other episodes, the team managed it very well and delivered the best. The real eunuchs were called and auditioned for the same. However, the big question that lingered in their minds was whether the eunuchs will be able to deliver the performance required. But, the team made sure that they did not compromise with the performance and quality of this episode.” And what was the result like? Well, the entire team was taken aback seeing the enthusiasm in the eunuchs who turned up for shoot. Some of them were very good actors, excellent dancers who had performed small roles in movies, films and on stage. Such good eunuchs were shortlisted and finally in the stipulated time, the cast was got on board without making any compromise with the quality. When contacted, Dinesh Soi – Head of Casting, Sunshine Rise Productions told us, “Yes, it was indeed a challenge to rope in real eunuchs for this unique story of Code Red Awaaz. The eunuchs shortlisted were very energetic and supportive, and were eager to be seen on such a big platform as Colors. The rushes have come out well, and the episode seems very catchy and interesting. We are hoping for a good response from viewers, and good TRPs as well for this realistic effort.” The episode featuring eunuchs will air on 20 February on Colors.
