Supriya Pilgaonkar roped in to play Shaheer's mother in Sony TV's next

Supriya Pilgaonkar

The first promo of Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s Beyond Dreams’ effervescent love story, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi on Sony TV seems to have caught the eye of all the TV buffs.

Well, the news of heart throb Shaheer Sheikh returning to limelight as the lead of this show has indeed brought smiles on the faces of many girls.

We now hear of the makers roping in a big name to play the very important character of the male lead’s mother in the show.

Yes, the show will bring the lady with a pleasing smile, Supriya Pilgaonkar back to the TV screens, after her stint with & TV’s Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls.

Supriya, as we know, is a power-packed performer, with shows like Tu Tu Main Main, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuchh Kar Dikhayengi, Basera, Sasural Genda Phool, Meri Bhabhi to her credit.

As we have reported earlier, the show in addition to presenting a beautiful love tale, will also dwell on a mother-son relationship and the manner in which the mother would have single-handedly taken care of her children to make them good individuals.

As per sources, “Supriya will be playing the mother of Dev, essayed by Shaheer. She will be a self-made confident woman, who would be undeterred by the challenges of life, and would have gone on to face them whole-heartedly to raise her kids.”

When contacted, Supriya confirmed the news to Tellychakkar.com saying, “Yes, I am playing the male lead’s mother in the new Sony TV show. The promo of the show looks really interesting, and I am looking forward to working with Shaheer and Erica (Fernandes).”

We also dropped a text message to Producer Yash Patnaik, but did not get any revert.
